The basic operating principle of the system is as follows:
1. When the AC input is normal
When the AC input to the system is normal, the two AC inputs are selected by the AC switching control circuit, and one of them is routed through the AC distribution unit to supply power to each charging module. The charging modules convert the three-phase AC into 220 V or 110 V DC, which is then isolated by isolation diodes before being delivered as output—providing power for battery charging on one hand and supplying the load with its normal operating current on the other.
The monitoring subsystem adopts a distributed architecture to monitor and control the system. Operating parameters of the charging cabinets and feeder cabinets, as well as those of the charging modules, are acquired and processed separately by the power distribution monitoring circuit and the module monitoring circuit, respectively. The processed data are then transmitted via serial communication ports to the monitoring module, which performs unified processing and displays the results on an LCD screen. In addition, the system can be configured and controlled through human–machine interface operations; remote monitoring can also be integrated as needed. Furthermore, the monitoring module provides equalization/float charging control and current-limiting control for each charging module, thereby ensuring proper battery charging and extending battery life. 2. When AC input power is lost or abnormal
When the AC input power is lost or experiences a fault, the charging module shuts down and the battery supplies power to the load. The monitoring module continuously monitors the battery voltage and discharge duration; when the battery discharge reaches the preset undervoltage threshold, the monitoring module triggers an alarm. Once the AC input returns to normal, the charging module resumes charging the battery. This illustrates the energy flow during system operation.
